Slap a name to unorthodoxy and meet Tamer Malki. No other quality better characterizes this MBA-graduate-turned-DJ's meteoric rise to the foremost echelons of dance music. Born in Jordan, Tamer has spent his life between the cities of Amman and his current base Boston which offered him only 5 years to rediscover its nightlife turned ties-over-stilettos and Tamer Malki crowned as its most sought-after DJ and producer at its biggest club nights of the week, every week.After major residencies at some of the cities most established venues, Tamer branched out and co-created and music directed Boston's most innovative underground weekly party - Sunday Groove. Right before he teamed up with long time friend and talented DJ/producer Sergio Santos to create their recent brainchild, party brand and future imprint WeNo. Before spinning Boston to storm, Tamer received his Bachelors in Business Management and his Masters in Advertising from Boston University. He then shelved the textbooks aside and instead turned, full throttle, to what he has never formally studied: music. His infectious blend of deep, soulful, vocal house, driven by groovy bass-lines and laced with a healthy dose of jazz, funk, and classics only reflects on his diverse musical background that he managed to earn from his early multicultural adventures with music since the young age of 8.Tamers forward thinking DJ sets have graced dance floors across the globe, with regular appearances in Miami, New York and DC to headlining sets in Madrid, Marbella, London, Munich and Mexico. Hes performed with some of the main shapers of the underground map such as Guy Gerber, Seth Troxler, Tiefschwarz, Martin Buttrich, Nic Fanciulli and Paco Osuna where they regularly perform at WeNos cutting edge events in Boston.With several releases on various labels such as SP Recordings, Harem, Zenbi, and Digital Lovers, an iTunes Podcast that has more than 20k subscribers and countless bootlegs and re-edits circulating online, Tamers music has been building steam for some time now, but thats only the tip of the iceberg. Its been said that this man is restless and restless he is. Expect new benchmarks to be set this year, as the best is not yet to come but is already in the making, so keep your ears ready and your mind open. The musical arsenal in this wizard's pipeline is bound to bedazzle audiences everywhere, but only after it satisfies his harshest and most critical of audiences, an audience of one: Tamer Malki.
